General Description
DigiCart/II Plus is a full-featured hard disk recorder designed to replace analog cart machines in television master control, radio, and teleproduction applications. It offers analog and digital I/O, 16 bit linear or Dolby AC-2 compressed audio storage (user selectable), plus editing and playlisting capabilities. It also provides many remote control options including a production remote, a play-only remote, a keyboard for titling and remote control, and both GPI and serial interfaces.

DigiCart/II Plus is offered in three different configurations, each offering a drive for removable Zip disks and a high-capacity internal hard disk.

Applications
DigiCart/II Plus excels in applications typically served by analog tape machines and DAT recorders. It performs similar functions, but with far greater efficiency and reliability.

  • Random access and playback of bumpers, music and sound effects.
  • Mass storage of production elements and sound effects libraries.
  • Fast top-and-tail style editing.
  • Sweetening for video and audio production.
  • Automated playback of voice overs for master control.
  • Creation and execution of long and complex playlists.

Transport Controls
DigiCart/II Plus emulates conventional analog carts with Record, Play and Stop. Pause and Loop are also available as function keys, and GPI inputs with tally are provided for remote control.
