360 Systems' MAXX-6T Server redefines price-performance for broadcast servers in today's market. We’ve included our many server options to create an attractively-priced, high-capacity professional product.
 |
|
It's a clean synthesis of modern file-based capabilities, with the advantages of traditional base-band connections. The MAXX-6T's extensive hardware features and software tools make it a smooth upgrade path for tape-based stations, able to operate with every automation system. It’s ideally suited as a play-to-air server, as a cache for satellite ingest, as a graphics store; and for use in weather systems, remote trucks, and extra channels in DTV broadcast.
Operationally, MAXX-6T functions as a video recorder, 3-channel playout server, and as a graphics store for key-and-fill. It provides both composite and SDI video

ports, a frame synchronizer for recording satellite feeds and other "wild" sources, and multiple audio formats including embedded audio, AES/EBU digital, and +4 balanced analog. XLR connectors makes it a drop-infit at existing facilities. There's never a need to buy outboard accessories. MAXX's file-based features make a big difference in efficiency with every production and broadcast task. Beyond recording and playing broadcast-quality MPEG-2 video, MAXX exchanges files over Gigabit Ethernet with NLEs like Final Cut Pro® and Avid®. TARGA files, along with an alpha channel, can also be imported from many graphics programs, and played out as a ganged pair. |

Production Tools, Storage, and Playout in a Cost-Effective Package
 |
| |
|
|
Intuitive Graphic User Interface
MAXX-6T has an intuitive Graphic User Interface that's able to control every video channel at once. Its VTR-style buttons and time code displays give it a familiar look and feel, while keyboard shortcuts like J-K-L keys speed up operations. You'll be able to quickly perform head and tail trims, and segment network feeds for broadcast.
For news or commercial islands, Advanced Playlisting tools perform rapid list-building, editing and playout of sequences. Many production-oriented features, like drag-and-drop, looping, skip and hold are included. For many users, Advanced Playlisting may be all that's needed to get to air. And As-Run logs make reconciliation with traffic easy.
We've also included Remote Workstation Software, allowing full control of MAXX from any location accessible by Ethernet, using only a low-cost PC. It's easy to create work-stations for ingest, edit, playlisting or playout, anywhere you need them. |
|
On-Air with Every Automation System
360 Systems' servers are now on air with 27 broadcast automation systems. Choose from market leaders like Crispin, Florical, Harris, Nverzion and Sundance. In Europe, it's Ibis, Pebble Beach ProBel, Ninsight and many more. So pick your system with the confidence that the MAXX-6T will work exactly as you expect.
MAXX is also a plug-and-play fit with serial control from video switchers like Ross and Echolab, and is able to play three channels of video and graphics in perfect sync. We've also provided six GPI ports, allowing control by switcher outputs or simple push-button panels.
Most popular desk-top controllers are able to control MAXX-6T, making it a good choice for sports and entertainment

A Modern Design for Fault Tolerance

Every part of MAXX-6T is designed to deliver the highest level of reliability for 24/365 operations. Dual power supplies employ separate AC mains, and are easily replaced with the server in use. Forced-air cooling uses redundant fans, easily exchanged if replacement become necessary; and a sophisticated alarm system reports any event that may need attention.
The MAXX-6T storage array now offers 6 Terabytes of internal storage space-more than 700 hours of playing time. 360 Systems' Double Fault Tolerant RAID-6 technology spreads program data across every drive in the array, for the highest level of security. As many as two drives could fail, without compromising program safety or server performance. Drives are hot-swappable, and easily replaced from the front.

On-Line Archiving

| On-line archiving of video content makes economic sense for the first time, thanks to MAXX-6T’s attractive price. With 6 Terabytes of storage and three playout channels, the material you need is always on-line and ready to play. There's no need to transfer it from off-line storage to a play-to-air server; it's always ready to go. |
